Blocking Pop-Ups and Pop-Unders

There's a variety of ways advertisers try to get in front of your eyeballs and pop-ups and pop-unders are just a couple of them.  Fortunately, there are several software choices on the market (free and for purchase) which allow you to block, at the very least, the pop-ups.  Many Internet Service Providers offer these free tools, Microsoft has made it a feature in their Internet Explorer browser with an XP operating system and there are industrial strength options to choose from as well.

The Intranet Journal has a page on "Blocking Pop-Up Ads" which provides a link to a list of pop-up blocking software, but doing a Google search on the topic works just as well.

The pop-up blocking software I have used for years is "Ad Subtract Pro" which provides more than just pop-up blocking, and at a very reasonable price.
